All About Claire

Hi, my name is Claire Nash.

I have loved baking in our farmhouse kitchen since I married 17 years ago and Cupcakes are always a favourite of my family and friends.

A few months ago my friend Heather asked if I would make Cupcakes for her daughter's birthday party.  I was honoured to do this and amazed at the response they received.  It was suggested to me that I should do this professionally - from there 'Cupcakes by Claire' was born.

Since then, I have registered with Dumfries and Galloway Environmental Health Department, who have approved my kitchen and I have taken an Elementary Food Hygiene Course.

Over the last few months I have been perfecting my recipes (and putting on a few pounds!).  A Tasting Day was held on 21st September when the girls came as my Chief Tasters and sampled the 13 flavours I had made - to give me constructive criticism and hoping to reduce them to 12.  No-one could agree which one to drop, so I have had to go with the most expensive to produce!  Although this may return as a 'Special' in the future.
